Farming, new special attacks, a bigger bank and a higher frame rate
Item values
4,639 items have had their values refined. For example, High Level Alchemy on an Adamant platebody now gives you 9,984 coins, where it gave 7,680.
Skill Capes
- A skill cape, its trimmed cape and its hood need level 99 in their skill to wear.
- You can buy a skill cape once you reach level 99 in its skill. You get the cape and its hood.
- With two or more skills at level 99, you get the trimmed cape.
- The emote tab has one Skillcape button in place of a button for each cape.
The Bank
- Your bank holds 2,500 items, where it held 352.
The Camera
- Hold the middle mouse button and move the mouse to turn the camera.
- The camera tilts down to eye level.
- You can zoom in closer. As you zoom in, the camera looks up toward your character's face.
- Press Enter to start typing in chat. Until then, W, A, S and D turn the camera, and so do Z, Q, S and D.
- On the login screen, Enter logs you in once both fields are filled in.
- The settings tab has a Camera page for zoom, the mouse buttons and smooth turning.
- The camera glides after your character. It no longer jumps up and down on uneven ground or when you attack.
- You can click anything you can see, as far as your draw distance reaches.
The Frame Rate
- The game draws about four times as many frames each second. At the busy Varrock west bank it reaches about 200, where it drew about 50.
- VSync on the GPU settings page now works.
- Unlock FPS is on from the start.
- Short stutters from memory clean-up come about once a minute, where they came every few seconds.
- When you walk or teleport into a new area, the pause is shorter. The game no longer stops for a memory clean-up as the area loads.
Graphics
- Shadows stay in place at the edge of your view. Before, a shadow could vanish or float when the wall or tree casting it left the screen.
- Characters, items and scenery look smooth again. Flat shading on the GPU settings page now changes them as well as the ground.
- Characters stay smooth while they move. Before, a dance or an attack showed flat patches on their body.
Upper Floors
- You can see players and NPCs on the floors above and below you.
- On the minimap, players and NPCs on another floor look fainter. The further away their floor, the fainter they look.
- Floors and roofs have an underside. Feet and rugs on the floor above no longer poke through the ceiling.
- Inside a building, ceilings no longer show through walls, railings sit on the floor, and the sky no longer shows through the roof.
Farming
- You can train Farming at the patches across the world.
- Crops grow five times faster. Potatoes are ready in about 8 minutes, and herbs in about 16.
- Seeds already in your bank plant the same as seeds from new drops.
Combat
- 80 weapons have their special attack, where 17 did. For example, Dragon claws strike with Slice and Dice.
- The Kodai wand autocasts Ancient Magicks, and Tumeken's shadow fires its spell with charges.
- A powered staff with no charges left turns into its uncharged staff, and an uncharged staff no longer attacks.
- Spells and special attacks that hit an area hit every target around the one you click.
- You can fight several monsters at once anywhere, except near a bank.
- When your ammo doesn't fit your weapon, the game names the ammo to use. For example: "Your Heavy ballista has the wrong ammo. Try Dragon javelins instead."
Monsters
- 464 more monsters join the game, Scurrius among them.
- 111 more pieces of scenery and 186 more spell and effect graphics join the game.
- Monsters that chase you keep walking while they strike.
The Website
- The Woodcutting page links each tree to its logs.
- The Fletching page shows a picture from the game of a bow being cut from oak logs.
- Each skill page lists its skill cape, trimmed cape and hood at level 99.
- Tempoross Cove joins the screenshot gallery.
- The bestiary has 25 more creatures, the Earthen Nagua among them.
Linked OSRS Accounts
- You can link your OSRS accounts on the OSRS accounts page of Account Management. The ClanSocket plugin in RuneLite confirms each link.
- ::osrssync, a new line on the quest tab, brings your OSRS levels and items into the game. It never lowers a level or takes an item.
- Each item and each bit of experience comes over once. With more than one linked account, the highest of each counts.
- For now, your OSRS account needs to be in a clan in OSRS to link.
- When you gain several Hitpoints levels at once, your hitpoints now rise by every level you gained.
