King Bolren of the Tree Gnome Village sent me this prayer, which a gnome child of his village wrote to Guthix when General Khazard's army came. Relations with our gnome neighbours are not what they could be. I was honoured to receive it.

Prayer to Guthix - kept by King Bolren

A note from the king: Celdric was nine years old. He left this at the foot of the spirit tree on the worst night of the war. I keep it with the village's oldest papers.

To Guthix, lord of balance,

The wind is howling and the rain is coming through our roof. The thunder knocked down the house next to ours. General Khazard's soldiers are in the village, and they are hurting everyone brave enough to stand up to them.

Khazard made us gather food for him, and we did. Now he wants everything we have, and he wants our village gone. Please make it stop. You are balance, and this is not balanced.

They are getting close to the king's tree, and to my family. I will do anything you ask. I will look after your sheep. Please answer.

Celdric

Help came, though not in the shape of a god. The orbs Khazard had stolen came back to us. My people say an outlander returned them, though no outlander I have asked remembers doing it. Celdric still says Guthix sent them. I have stopped arguing with him. King Bolren.
